CHAIR: Katie Krause, Judson Park

Katie Krause is a Sales Counselor at Judson Park, an established senior living nonprofit Life Plan Community in Des Moines. She has worked exclusively between West Seattle and Federal Way for most of her 15 year career. In her role, she comes alongside seniors and their loved ones to guide them through challenging life decisions regarding living arrangements and personal care to reach safe and successful outcomes. Katie is a senior living industry expert with experience in customer service, hospitality, sales, marketing, business development, and strategic planning. Her talents include building relationships, creating community and seeking to understand and find solutions for small business success. Katie grew up in the Federal Way area and is a graduate of Federal Way Public Schools and University of Washington. In her free time she enjoys trying new restaurants with her husband or exploring local waterways via paddle board with her dog as coxswain.

Michelle Wallace

VICE CHAIR: Michelle Wallace, Wallace Homes & Loans

Michelle is an Owner & Real Estate Agent at Wallace Homes & Loans.

She is a passionate and dedicated real estate professional with a proven track record of success in guiding clients through seamless property transactions. Committed to exceeding client expectations and building long-lasting relationships, she is known for exceptional customer service, strategic negotiation skills, and in-depth market knowledge.

Michelle has a BA in Hospitality Business Management from Washington State University, and 10 years of experience in Hospitality. She is the Co-Founder of Empower PNW Women.

shawn harju

PAST CHAIR: Shawn Harju, Chrysalis Solutions

Shawn Harju has been in the legal industry for over 30 years, 20 of which have been spent practicing law in the Puget Sound region.  Shawn’s experience includes private practice (in small and mid-size firms) and serving as in-house counsel.  In both instances, clients have relied on Shawn to help them be proactive and practical in their risk management and problem-solving.  She works with employees at all levels of business organizations to address a variety of issues ranging from overall operations to procurement, contract negotiations and resolution of disputes to employment and compliance matters.  Shawn takes pride in making legal services accessible to small businesses who mistakenly think they cannot afford such help or are not yet big enough to need it.  She has lived in Federal Way for nearly 25 years and, with her husband’s and daughter’s help, is turning their backyard into a miniature vegetable farm.  She also volunteers as a Coach with the Federal Way Track Club and is a Trustee for The Seabury School in Northeast Tacoma.

Rudi Alcott, FlareAI

Alcott serves as a key leader at TheFlare.ai, where he focuses on leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions to drive digital transformation, enhance marketing efficiency, and optimize customer engagement. His work at TheFlare.ai underscores his ability to merge technology with business strategy, helping SMB and enterprise organizations navigate the evolving digital landscape.

Previously, Alcott held leadership roles in the media industry, including Publisher at The Daily Herald in Everett, Washington, and Director of Digital Media at Sound Publishing Inc., where he oversaw digital strategies for approximately 43 local publications. He also served as Publisher at the Federal Way Mirror, where he played a pivotal role in shaping community journalism. As the executive of a mid-sized media company, Alcott developed a keen understanding of the operational and strategic needs of diverse businesses.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Alcott has served in multiple board-level positions with Chambers of Commerce, countywide economic alliances, and nonprofit organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club.

Joe Brown - VMFH

Joe Brown, St. Francis Hospital

Joe Brown, President, St. Francis Hospital, is a collaborative leader who brings 16 years of experience in health care administration to the hospital and community of Federal Way. He is dedicated to delivering high-quality care while engaging patients and families to provide an optimal patient experience.

Joe comes to Virginia Mason Franciscan Health from Lovelace Medical Center and Heart Hospital in New Mexico. Prior to joining Lovelace, Joe led national operations for acute care telemedicine subspecialty services at Access Telecare, and spent 13 years at Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas, where he served in a variety of leadership roles.

Joe is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and he earned a Master of Health Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dan Eisenman - Equalus - Headshot Square

Dan Eisenman, MA-LPI, Equalus

Dan Eisenman is an experienced executive coach, facilitator and consultant. He specializes in leader and team development, focusing on communication skills as well as the impact of emotional intelligence and critical thinking. Dan has over 27 years of leadership and training experience in healthcare, the military, retail, and insurance industries. Past leadership assignments include acting company command in the US Army, retail manager for a major corporation and Human Resource manager in a large Medical Group.

Dan is a Certified Performance Improvement consultant with extensive experience building high performance teams. He has been a guest speaker with the Northwest Communication Association and has spoken twice at Association for Talent Development (ATD) International Expos. For the past four years Dan has also been a Performance Coach and Facilitator for the UW Foster School of Business Center for Leadership & Strategic Thinking (CLST). He also has strategic coaching partnerships with the Center for Transformation & Innovation (Tampa) and New Legends Consulting (Snoqualmie, WA).

Brooke Lolnitz

Brooke Lolnitz, Red Canoe Credit Union

As a self-starter, Brooke forged an 18-year career in the financial services industry, spanning from entry-level teller to her current role as Branch Manager and top leadership in the Federal Way area.  

Through her role at Red Canoe Credit Union, Brooke is passionate about financial wellness for all, and most particularly involved in financially empowering communities of color and recently immigrated. 

Brooke is currently involved in non-profit Native Action Network’s Legacy of Leadership Cohort VI. Legacy of Leadership nurtures the next generation of community leaders and advocates serving Native populations in King County and across Washington by engaging in activities intended to strengthen their leadership skills while expanding knowledge and networks, within our community, communities of color, and with elected officials.

Iris Miranda, We Support Group, LLC

Born in Puerto Rico, Iris Miranda holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Law. As a board member, she looks forward to working alongside the Chamber to continue building a strong, inclusive, and prosperous business environment.

Iris spent ten years working with the U.S. Department of Defense, focusing on benefits for Active Duty service members and their families. That experience instilled a deep respect for service and a commitment to helping others navigate complex systems. She is passionate about creating opportunities, providing access to vital resources, and empowering entrepreneurs - especially those from underserved communities
She now owns and runs We Support Group, LLC, where she serves the Latino community by offering tax preparation, business start-up assistance, document translation, notarizations, and more. Additionally, she supports small business owners with services including bookkeeping, tax filings, and license management.

Jaime Monje (1)

Jaime Monje, Azteca

Jaimie was born and raised in Mexico and came to the U.S. in 1995, landing at Lake Chelan. He and his family moved to Seattle in 1999, and he got a job a few months clearing and setting tables at the Burien Azteca.

Six months later, Monje became a server and soon started bartending too. After a few more years, he was promoted to assistant manager, and in 2005 he was transferred to the Federal Way Azteca, rising from Assistant Manager to the GM.

He now runs the store along with his wife, Beatriz, who is an assistant manager and server. Their eldest daughter is a hostess at the front of the house.

Dr. John Mosby

Dr. John Mosby, Ph.D., Highline College

John R. Mosby, Ph.D., is president of Highline College in Des Moines, Washington, 20 minutes south of Seattle. With more than 70 percent students of color, Highline is the most diverse higher education institution in the state and annually serves 17,000 students. Dr. Mosby has more than two decades of higher education experience. Prior to joining Highline in July 2018, he was vice president at Mission College in Santa Clara, California, part of the West Valley Mission Community College District.

A staunch advocate for student success, Dr. Mosby has worked in various capacities within higher education, including developing new programs and services to increase student persistence and graduation rates. He has served on numerous state and local committees addressing the areas of fiscal and institutional planning, accreditation, educational policy, enrollment management, equity and access.

He holds a doctorate in leadership/higher education administration from the University of San Diego, a master’s degree in educational and counseling psychology from the University of the Pacific and a bachelor’s degree in English from St. Mary’s College.

Dr D Pfeiffer

Dr. Dani Pfeiffer, Federal Way Public Schools

With over 29 years in education, Superintendent Dr. Dani Pfeiffer believes in the unlimited potential of every scholar and that it is our collective responsibility to create conditions that provide the highest quality education in a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive environment. As a leader, Dr. Pfeiffer is driven by equity, integrity, responsibility, courage, collaboration, and innovation.

Dr. Pfeiffer began her role as Federal Way Public Schools’ superintendent on July 1, 2021. Prior to that, she spent six years in Federal Way Public Schools – one year as Chief Academic Officer and five years as Deputy Superintendent. During that time, she worked with Supt. Campbell to support the district’s strategic plan goals and measures of progress. As superintendent, she carries that work forward to build upon the numerous successes and focus on areas of growth to ensure every scholar in Federal Way Public Schools thrives.

Prior to coming to Federal Way, she served in two other school districts in various positions including Area Instructional Chief, Learning Improvement Officer, principal and assistant principal at all three levels, director of a technology academy, director of school technology services, and a teacher at the elementary and middle school levels.

Dr. Pfeiffer obtained a doctorate in Educational Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University, a superintendent’s certification from Washington State University, a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Lesley University, a principal certification from Western Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University, where she also played collegiate softball.

Jeannette Ramirez, JRComputax

Jeannette Ramirez is the Chief Accounting Director. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a BS in Accounting and has 18 years of experience in the field.

She is the president of JRComputax, a full-service accounting firm that supports businesses with a range of financial and administrative services.

Josh Sutton

Josh Sutton, YMCA of Greater Seattle

Josh Sutton is the GM, Property & Facilities for YMCA of Greater Seattle.

He’s spent the past four decades working for the YMCA of Greater Seattle. Early experiences in the Y’s Youth Development programs and Membership services grew into roles as Branch Executive (West Seattle Y, Bellevue Y), Camping Services Executive (Camp Colman and Camp Orkila) and Regional Executive overseeing a range of operations. Years of YMCA fundraising experiences led to a successful $4M Capital Campaign for the expansion of the West Seattle YMCA facility.

Kim Zier Suchan, Caffé D’arte

Kim Zier Suchan is Director of Administration at Caffé D’arte, the Italian roasting coffee company headquartered in Federal Way. The artisanal coffee is available across the U.S. as well as internationally. In addition to human resource management, her work includes supply chain and purchasing, workforce training/orientation, and new business implementation. A former member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Suchan served as its Chair in 2016-2017.
