Grow and Diversify

Empowering Business. Strengthening Community. Driving Growth.

At the Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce, we prioritize business development as a key driver of economic growth and community prosperity. Our mission is to help grow and diversify the economic base of the South King by fostering strategic partnerships, facilitating access to resources, and providing opportunities for workforce development.

We connect you with local business leaders, industry insights, and practical tools to help your company thrive. Through a year-round calendar of seminars, workshops, and professional development programs, the Chamber supports businesses of all sizes in building capacity, enhancing competitiveness, and cultivating a resilient local economy.

The Small Business Development Center at Highline College specializes in providing business and training services to entrepreneurs and existing businesses in order to be successful in today's economy. The SBDC provides free business mentoring and holds office hours at the Greater Federal Way Chamber.  Schedule at appointment at  206.592.4151, or through email.

Businesses need to register with the State of Washington and complete a business license application. The City of Federal Way regulates all businesses that operate within the city limits. The City staff at the Permitting Center work in collaboration with South King Fire & Rescue and the Lakehaven Water & Sewer District on business permitting, code review and inspection.
